This catalog is published in concert with Jeane Cohen's first museum solo exhibition at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, "This Watching Land". Designed by Joseph Gilmore, the catalog includes contributions from critics Michelle Grabner and Barry Schwabsky, and an interview with Cohen conducted by artist Katherine Bradford. Excerpts from texts by activist Sherri Mitchell and scholar Karen Armstrong are also included. Timothy Peterson, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, has contributed a Forward. 50 images from the last three years of Cohen's practice are included.
