This catalog is published in concert with Jeane Cohen's first museum solo exhibition at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, "This Watching Land," 2023-4. Designed by Joseph Gilmore, the catalog includes contributions from critics Michelle Grabner and Barry Schwabsky, and an interview with Katherine Bradford. Excerpts from texts by Maine activist Sherri Mitchell and scholar Karen Armstrong are also included, and a forward by Timothy Peterson, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. 50 images from Cohen’s practice 2020-2023 are included, as well as details and ephemera.
